When people hear "tailoring" they often picture a single method. In our studio we work with two: Bespoke Tailoring and Made to Measure (MTM).
Bespoke: the tailor's signature
Bespoke is traditional tailoring in which every stage, from A to Z, is yours. The pattern is drafted from scratch for your body alone. The process includes at least three fittings, and the work is centred on handcraft.
If your posture has distinct asymmetries, if you expect character from a garment, or if you want a piece that is entirely your own, bespoke is the right choice.
MTM: precise measurement, perfect fit, fast service
Made to Measure adapts and personalises an existing pattern to your measurements. It requires a single fitting and combines handcraft with industrial production.
If you want to strengthen your wardrobe quickly and complete the essentials of your working life, MTM is an ideal start.
The real difference: the cut
Tailoring has two stages: cutting and sewing. The cut defines your style.
Whichever method you choose, the cut is what defines your style. After cutting, our expert tailors prepare the garment to fit your body perfectly. We choose the right method together at our first meeting.
